Notre Dame’s commits in the 2023 and 2024 classes are staring to wrap up their respective junior and senior seasons, and a handful have already seen their campaign end. This article takes a look at what to watch for as the weekend approaches.

GAME OF THE WEEK

This one is rather simple. Two Notre Dame commits go head-to-head Friday night with a championship on the line.

Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller’s (12-1) Karson Hobbs, the No. 635 overall player and No. 62 cornerback per the 2024 On3 Consensus, committed to Notre Dame last week. His squad will face Cincinnati Lakota West (13-0), home of Irish class of 2023 safety verbal Ben Minich, in the finals of the Ohio Region 4 state playoffs Nov. 18.

Minich, the No. 286 prospect and No. 25 safety per the 2023 On3 Consensus, picked the Irish over the summer.

Lakota West ranks as the No. 1 team in Ohio per MaxPreps. Archbishop Moeller is No. 3 in The Buckeye State. It’ll be a battle between the two heavyweight programs.

TOP PERFORMER FROM LAST WEEK

Lake Stevens (Wash.) High’s (9-2) Jayden Limar, has been highly productive this season, and in a second round Washington Class 4A state playoff win last Friday, the four-star back went off. He ran 23 times for 192 yards and 3 touchdowns, plus had 3 receptions for 52 yards and a score.

Per The Journal 425, Limar broke the Lake Stevens career rushing record and is tied for most career rushing touchdowns in school history. On the season, he’s rushed for 1,467 yards on 159 carries with 26 touchdowns. He’s also caught 20 passes for 213 yards and 3 scores.

On Saturday, Limar’s team faces Spokane (Wash.) Gonzaga Prep (9-2) in the quarterfinals of the Washington Class 4A state playoffs.
