COLUMBUS — Ohio State knows that to have a healthy and sustainable program, it has to start within its borders.

The Buckeyes recruit Ohio as hard as they do any other state and that could be even more critical in the 2024 cycle.

Thirteen Ohio prospects find themselves in the latest 2024 On300 rankings.

The rankings, released Monday afternoon, provided a thorough outlook at the country’s best junior talent from coast to coast. And while plenty of Florida, Texas, California and other states boast good numbers in the rankings update, so does the Buckeye State.

Lettermen Row dives into all 13 in-state prospects in the On300 and where they stand with Ohio State.

Aaron Scott

Four-star Springfield High cornerback Aaron Scott Jr. moves up as the No. 9 overall prospect in the newest On300. Scott was previously the No. 32 overall prospect.

The near-6-foot, 165-pound cornerback holds Ohio State in high regard and has visited Columbus three times this year including on Sept. 3 for the Ohio State-Notre Dame game.

Scott and the Buckeyes look like a lock according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Ohio State has a 97-percent chance of landing Scott.

Elias Rudolph

Four-star Cincinnati Taft EDGE Elias Rudolph saw a huge boost in the On300 rankings. Rudolph climbed from No. 162 all the way to No. 22.

Lettermen Row caught up with the 6-foot-4, 220-pound edge rusher over the summer and Rudolph likes the relationship he’s developed with the Buckeyes.

“I’ve always felt the love anytime I’m [at Ohio State],” Rudolph said. “I want to feel the love where I’m going.”

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Buckeyes have a 97.5-percent chance to land Rudolph.

Bryce West

Four-star Cleveland Glenville cornerback Bryce West dropped in the new rankings adjustments, but it doesn’t minimize his talent by any means. He went from No. 9 to No. 30

West has helped lead a Glenville defense that’s surrendered an average of 4.37 points per game. Lettermen Row spoke with West after his second game of the season where he had an interception on his first pass defended.

While he’s been open about not committing for a while, the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine likes the Buckeyes’ chances at landing West.

Jordan Marshall

Four-star Cincinnati Archbishop Moeller running back Jordan Marshall received a big bump in the new On300 rankings.

Marshall moved from No. 108 overall to No. 46 overall.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound tailback picked up his Ohio State offer after an impressive performance at a one-day camp in June. Marshall had the opportunity to work out in front of Buckeyes running back coach Tony Alford who offered Marshall then.

Marshall scored two touchdowns in a massive 20-17 win over cross-town rival Cincinnati St. Xavier in September. After the game, Marshall spoke about his recruitment and where a timeline is coming into play.

Garrett Stover

Four-star Sunbury Big Walnut linebacker Garrett Stover bumped up from No. 187 to No. 116 in the latest On300 rankings.

Stover, the younger cousin of Ohio State tight end Cade Stover, has had an impressive season for Big Walnut this year as the Eagles are 8-1 heading into the final week of the regular season.

Stover has taken multiple game-day visits to Ohio State this season and the intel about his recruitment had Lettermen Row staffer Matt Parker place an RPM pick on the Buckeyes landing Stover’s pledge.

Brian Robinson

Four-star Austintown Fitch EDGE Brian Robinson is the highest-rated in-state prospect that doesn’t hold an Ohio State offer.

Robinson, the No. 178 overall prospect, recently spoke with Lettermen Row about how his junior season has gone and some of the adversity he’s overcome to make it back onto the field. Despite not having an offer, Robinson and Ohio State are in consistent contact.

Terhyon Nichols

Four-star Cincinnati Withrow cornerback Terhyon Nichols dropped from No. 118 to No. 207 in the latest On300 rankings.

Nichols doesn’t hold an Ohio State offer but has several Power 5 offers including Penn State, Kentucky and Michigan State.

Luke Hamilton

Four-star Avon interior offensive lineman Luke Hamilton dropped from No. 123 to No. 227 in the new On300 rankings.

Hamilton does not hold an Ohio State offer, but does hold an offer from Michigan and is high on the Wolverines.

Koy Beasley

Cincinnati La Salle cornerback Koy Beasley jumps into the On300 for the first time. Currently a starless prospect, Beasly is the No. 228 overall rated prospect according to On3.

Beasley holds offers from West Virginia, Pitt, Rutgers, Minnesota and others.

Deontae Armstrong

Lakewood St. Edwards offensive lineman Deontae Armstrong makes his first appearance in the On300 at No. 269. Armstrong holds offers from Penn State, Michigan State and others.

Deontae’s twin brother, Devontae also found a spot in the On300 for the first time.

William Satterwhite

Three-star Akron Archbishop Hoban offensive lineman William Satterwhite makes his first appearance in the On300.

The previously unranked offensive lineman holds the No. 276 spot. Satterwhite holds offers an offer from Kentucky.

Tommy Ricard

Three-star Hudson offensive lineman Tommy Ricard joins the On300 as the No. 294 overall prospect.

Ricard holds offers from Michigan State, Maryland, Boston College and more.
