QUACK: Oregon Lands Four-Star Quarterback
Oregon has landed another big offensive commit in the 2024 class on Saturday. The Ducks beat out Penn State and Maryland for St. Frances Academy (Md.) star quarterback Michael Van Buren.
The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder is the No. 192 ranked player in the On3 Industry Rankings. Van Buren is the No. 13 ranked quarterback in those same rankings.
Oregon already has one quarterback verbally committed in the class. Sunnyslope (Ariz.) quarterback Luke Moga committed to the Ducks in late April. However Dan Lanning and Will Stein kept pushing for a second quarterback with Van Buren being the top target.

***EVAL: Michael Van Buren***
Oregon is now up to 12 verbal commits in the 2024 class. Currently the class ranks as the No. 9 class nationally and No. 1 class in the Pac-12 conference.
Later today Oregon could add a second commitment from Durant (Okla.) defensive lineman Xadavien Sims who is also making his decision. The Ducks are viewed as the team to beat headed into that announcement.
