Penn State-Michigan State prediction time is here.

The Nittany Lions are listed as a short favorite over the host Spartans ahead of Saturday’s Land Grant Trophy game in East Lansing. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on ABC.

Today’s newsstand covers the game and also much more, of course. Topics include recruiting news, a rookie record for Micah Parsons, and other top tweets and headlines.

Let’s get to them on the final Friday of November.

Penn State tweets of the day

The rest of the Penn State-Michigan State predictions can be found in the headlines section, but ESPN’s SP+ does like the Lions to win on the road.

Skipping ahead to the recruiting front, PSU has made the cut for three Class of 2023 players.

IMG Academy four-star defensive lineman Will Norman, Pittsburgh four-star safety Ta’Mere Robinson, and Corona, Calif., four-star corner Aaron Williams all included the Lions on their shortlists.

Also, in the Class of 2022, four-star Class of 2022 safety Larry Turner-Gooden put Penn State in his top-five. He’s not expected to end up in State College, but if things change with the makeup of the current PSU class, then perhaps it might decide to push hard prior to a Jan. 8 announcement. Time will tell.

Penn State Class of 2022 commit Ken Talley had a huge day in his high school’s Thanksgiving Day game.

Finally, it shouldn’t surprise anyone, but Micah Parsons is now the Dallas Cowboys’ single-season sacks leader for a rookie. He set the mark in Wednesday’s home loss to Oakland.

Amani Oruwariye also had a turkey day interception, which gave him five on the year. That’s tied for the most ever in one season by a former Penn State player, according to the Detroit Lions.

Quote of the day

“Penn State was a great visit as well. Overall it is a good program and the legacy there keeps running. With Coach (James) Franklin signing the 10 year contract, I know he’s not leaving. After taking my visit to the White Out game, I knew Penn State was going to be a top school for me.”
