2023 Texas Longhorns undrafted free agents

Despite not being selected in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Longhorns will have a number of players sign rookie free agent deals after the selection process on Saturday.

After seeing Bijan Robinson go to Atlanta, Demarvion Overshown to Dallas, and Roschon Johnson to Chicago, and Keondre Coburn to Kansas City, and Moro Ojomo to Philadelphia, the remaining draft-eligible prospects were fielding calls and looking for an NFL camp soon.

D’Shawn Jamison, DB, signs with San Francisco

Jamison, native of Houston (Texas) Lamar, played in 12 games with nine starts in 2022, totaled 25 tackles (21 solo), two tackles for loss, one sack, two interceptions with one returned for a touchdown, seven pass deflections and one blocked punt. His pick-six went for 69 yards, the 14th-longest interception return for a score in program history

Anthony Cook, DB, signs with Kansas City

Cook, native of Houston (Texas) Lamar, the summer of 2022 was his fifth as a Longhorn. He joined Texas’ 2018 class near signing day in December of 2017, culminating a fierce recruiting battle between the Longhorns, Ohio State, and LSU. Originally a corner in high school, Cook played early in his career on the island. Then he moved to nickel before finally finding a home at safety in 2022.

BJ Foster, DB, signs with TBD

Foster, native of Angleton (Texas), the All-WAC first team selection for Sam Houston State after transferring from Texas. He was named All-Big 12 honorable mention in 2021, played in all 12 games with 11 starts, recorded 47 tackles (26 solo) with 2.5 tackles for loss and a team-leading 3 interceptions while adding 1 quarterback hurry and 2 pass breakups. Foster’s three interceptions ranked third in the Big 12 Conference that season.

Jahleel Billingsley, TE, signs with TBD

Billingsley, product of Chicago (Ill.) Phillips Academy, a first-year tight end at Texas who played in four games after transferring from Alabama and enrolled at UT in January 2022. He was named 2022 second-team All-Big 12 Preseason selection by Athlon Sports and played in four games, making his Longhorn debut in the victory over Iowa State, He played in 36 games with five starts over three seasons.

Tarique Milton, WR, signs with TBD

Milton, native of Bradenton (Fla. Manatee first-year wide receiver played in 12 games with one start after arriving in Austin as a graduate transfer from Iowa State using his additional year of eligibility He played in 44 career games with 14 starts, amassed 1,519 receiving yards and seven touchdown catches on 99 receptions (15.3 ypr) in his career in Ames.
