WATCH: Arch Manning throws two early TDs in Texas' Spring game

It didn’t take long for Texas QB Arch Manning to get the crowd going on Saturday. On his first play from scrimmage, the redshirt freshman hit Deandre Moore for a 75-yard scoring strike in the opening stanza of UT’s Orange-White game from Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.

Manning opened the game 5-of-5 with 133 yards passing and two touchdowns.

The second score came when he hit running back Jaydon Blue for a 30-yard touchdown two drives later.

The former five-star from New Orleans (La.) Isidore Newman played in only two games during UT’s 2023 College Football Playoff run.

He was 2-of-5 passing, for 30 yards in his limited action in 2023.

Manning was ranked as the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2023 On3 Industry Ranking.

On3 ranked Manning as the No. 3 overall prospect and the No. 2 quarterback in the 2023 class.
