Ewers has a significant amount of strengths. Wadlington explains that Ewers improved heading into his second year in a number of statistical measures including running. There were also some subjective improvements, like the ability to run more of the playbook with Ewers at the helm like the infamous Ezekiel’s Wheel and resilience in tough situations.

What about drawbacks or areas for improvement? The trio provide three examples using game film of touchdowns left unscored because of Ewers’ drawbacks: one from Rice, one from Iowa State, and one from TCU.

Wadlington, Boyd, and Wells conclude with a look at Arch Manning and his play style, and how Steve Sarkisian might utilize him when it’s No. 16’s turn.
