In this episode, Justin and Bobby discuss:

  1. Justin and Bobby discuss UT’s Spring football game with an emphasis on quarterback play. Quinn Ewers and Maalik Murphy were fantastic and showed the fans what’s in store in 2023. Ewers went 16-of-23 for almost 200 yards and a touchdown, but it was his pocket presence and ability to see the field and move the chains. Ewers is the unquestioned starter and acted like it. With Murphy, he put on a show with his arm strength and accuracy. The Horns’ backup signal-caller played the best he has since his arrival in Austin.
  2. Justin and Bobby update Minnesota defensive line transfer Trill Carter taking an official visit to Austin last week and Ohio State last weekend. The Horns visit was very positive, he told Inside Texas. Texas is always looking to upgrade the roster and the former All-Big Ten lineman fits that mold.
  3. At wide receiver, AD Mitchell and Johntay Cook look spectacular, injecting serious talent into the wide receiver room. Mitchell had a one-handed touchdown catch that could be the play of the game. Cook caught a 79-yard touchdown after a beautiful ball from Murphy. Jordan Whittington moved the chains and DeAndre Moore tallied five catches as well. On defense, Anthony Hill played three positions on Saturday. The former five-star linebacker made an immediate impact and looks to be a pass-rushing talent heading into the 2023 season.
  4. Justin and Bobby talk about the recruits on campus Saturday, including Aeryn Hampton and Brandon Baker, the nation’s top rated offensive tackle. Hampton scheduled an official visit to Austin in mid June, while Baker told Inside Texas his trip was “really great” and is looking at an official trip.
