In this episode, Bobby and Joe discuss…

The Longhorns finished their 10th practice, and Sarkisian was available immediately after on Tuesday. Cook explains how no news can be good news with the Horns two-thirds of the way through the 15 spring practices. Sarkisian mentioned how younger players were able to get through tougher moments during the scrimmage thanks to help from experienced vets.

A discussion about EDGE defenders then takes place, with attention on Barryn Sorrell, Ethan Burke, Justice Finkley, J’Mond Tapp, Kris Ross, and Colton Vasek. Sorrell has a good hold on the JACK strongside spot, with Burke making a run at the weakside BUCK spot. Bobby then explains what he’s heard from his sources in recent weeks about the EDGE spots.

Sarkisian mentioned leadership on Tuesday, identifying Jordan Whittington, Quinn Ewers, Ja’Tavion Sanders, Jerrin Thompson, Barryn Sorrell, and Byron Murphy. The two then heap praise on all those listed, but especially Murphy. The DeSoto product showed up at Texas with an associates degree and has done everything the coaches have asked for. Ewers’ presence on the list is also seen as a positive.

Savion Red’s ability between the tackles, along with CJ Baxter’s solid finish on Saturday, was mentioned during a running backs discussion. The situation is contingent somewhat on Jonathon Brooks and Keilan Robinson being out due to injury, as the two explain.

Third-year Longhorns were praised by Sarkisian on Tuesday, with Morice Blackwell, Kitan Crawford, and David Gbenda making the most of their shots in recent weeks.

Joe and Bobby discuss plenty more in the video.
