In this episode, Joe and Justin discuss:

  1. Joe and Justin open with the Texas Longhorns’ top needs going into spring ball in March. Starting on the offense, Justin mentioned mullet-less Quinn Ewers and is ever-growing opportunities to become a leader in the Longhorns locker room. Joe mentioned returning starter Hayden Conner and his depth along the offensive line. On the defensive side, Joe named Justice Finkley, the EDGE from Alabama. Finkley’s upside is needed for the UT pass rush in 2023. Justin mentioned Liona Lefau and Anthony Hill Jr. as the co-defensive players to watch. The early enrollees are looking to add depth and replace Demarvion Overshown at inside linebacker in 2023.
  2. Joe and Justin look at the Texas Basketball schedule this Saturday when they host rival Oklahoma at the Moody Center on Saturday. Porter Moser and the Sooners haven’t had the best season, yet are playing good basketball down the Big 12 Conference stretch. Moser and OU know their identity as ball-control and defensive minded. It’ll be a good test for the Longhorns as they begin to wrap up Big 12 play in February.
  3. Joe and Justin talk finish up with all the things happening at Inside Texas over the next few weeks, from recruiting updates and visit schedules, to spring ball beginning on March 6th with the first practice.
