“I felt like Texas is a great place for me to grow as a player and person,” Bolden told On3’s Hayes Fawcett. “It seemed like home as soon as I stepped on campus and the whole staff was great so that led me to commit.”

In his career, Bolden recorded 1076 receiving yards on 80 catches with nine touchdowns. He also added four career rushing touchdowns on 21 carries, including two rushes for scores in 2023.

Bolden will have one year of eligibility remaining. He was originally scheduled to take visits to Washington, Arizona, and USC but elected to forego those in favor of committing to the Longhorns.

Bolden was an accomplished return man as well. In 2023 for the Beavers he had 17 returns of kickoffs for 392 yards. He also brought back a punt for a touchdown. In 2022 he returned 22 kicks for 599 yards.

Bolden joins Houston transfer Matthew Golden and Alabama transfer Isaiah Bond as offensive additions to the Longhorns via the transfer portal. Texas also added UTSA EDGE Trey Moore and Clemson DB Andrew Mukuba.

A member of the class of 2020 from Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.), Bolden was ranked as the No. 1250 overall prospect, the No. 207 wide receiver, and the No. 102 prospect in California in the 2023 On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services.
