Texas adds Wichita State infielder Josh Livingston via the transfer portal
Jim Schlossnagle is active and has found a potential first baseman for the 2026 Longhorns. Wichita State infielder Josh Livingston has committed to Texas, his advisor Jaden Hardin told Inside Texas.

Livingston spent the last two years with the Shockers after a junior college stint at Crowder College in Missouri. Livingston batted .284 in 2025 with 15 home runs and 48 RBI. He notched a .403 on-base percentage and a .555 slugging percentage. He also added 10 doubles and a triple. In 2024, he hit .253 with 11 home runs, 39 RBI, and five doubles. His on-base percentage was .390 and his slugging percentage was .734 in 2024.
Livingston saw most of his action in the field at first base. In 2025, he fielded .990 with three errors. In 2024, he posted a .987 fielding percentage with one error.
