Texas LT Kelvin Banks is a game-time decision for the SEC Championship

Texas LT Kelvin Banks left the Longhorns’ matchup with Texas A&M with an injury in the opening quarter last Saturday. He did not play the rest of the game and wore a boot on the sidelines in street clothes. This week, the SEC injury report labeled him as questionable. The Saturday report..

Banks was the only player who was listed as Game Time Decision. Derek WilliamsCJ BaxterChristian Clark, and Velton Gardner, players who are all out for the season, were listed as such.

No. 2 Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian admitted Banks practiced on Thursday without going into any further detail on the SEC Coaches Teleconference.

For No. 5 Georgia, running back Trevor Etienne, listed as questionable on Wednesday, is no longer on the injury report.

Running back Branson Robinson was listed as Game Time Decision.

Defensive lineman Christen Miller was listed as Game Time Decision.

Defensive lineman Joseph Jonah-Ajonye was listed as out.

The Longhorns and the Bulldogs will battle for the SEC Championship on Saturday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.

Reporting Requirements

SEC school personnel must submit availability reports three days before each football game, with daily updates leading to a final report 90 minutes prior to game time. For basketball and baseball, reports are filed the night before the game, with an update on game day.

Player Status Designations

Players are designated as “available,” “probable,” “questionable,” “doubtful,” or “out” before game day; and as “available,” “game time decision,” or “out” on game day.

Consequences for Non-Compliance

Penalties for inaccurate or late reports range from $25,000 – $100,000 for football and up to $15,000 – $25,000 for basketball and baseball.
