OFFENSE

QB – Quinn Ewers, 73.5, Arch Manning, 64.2

Ewers was solid from the snap, going 17-of-26 passing for 196 yards with one touchdown and one interception. Then freshman Arch Manning appeared….

Manning’s debut was highly anticipated as was this completion to Johntay Cook.

RB – Jaydon Blue, 79.6, Savion Red, 81.2

Blue filled in admirably after CJ Baxter was dinged up and stole the show with a career-high 121 yards on the ground including a 69-yard scoring run. He added 14 yards receiving on a pair of catches. Red added some burst, with 72 yards on nine touches.

WR – Jordan Whittington, 71.3, Xavier Worthy, 67.0

While the rushing attack and the other two phases of football were dominant, Whittington and Worthy were clutch, as usual. Worthy’s second half scoring catch helped the Horns.

TE –  Ja’Tavion Sanders, 66.7

Sanders was the target on Saturday, with 45 yards receiving on three catches for the All Big 12 tight end.

OL – Jake Majors, 68.0, Cameron Williams, 68.3

Offensive linemen Majors (52 snaps) and Williams (24 snaps) anchored the O-line attack up front.

DEFENSE

DL/EDGE – T’Vondre Sweat, 80.3, Alfred Collins, 70.2

Sweat (38 snaps) and Collins (40 snaps) continued the Texas defensive domination with Sweat and Collins adding nine tackles, one sack, and 1.5 tackles for loss.

LB – Jaylan Ford, 90.8, Anthony Hill Jr, 68.5, Jett Bush, 75.5

Ford was tremendous with a team-high eight tackles. Hill Jr. (32 snaps) tallied four tackles and one sack as well in another strong performance from the front seven. Bush added a pick-six interception and sack in his senior farewell.

CB/N – Malik Muhammad, 78.1, Terrance Brooks, 78.9

With both combining for four tackles and two interceptions, Brooks (45 snaps) led the cornerbacks in grades, while Muhammad (34 snaps) added the turnover of the day.

Anything Muhammad can do, Brooks can do too.

S – Derek Williams, 70.5, Kitan Crawford, 65.6

The safety duo of Williams (33 snaps) and Crawford (26 snaps) were solid in most spots, with Williams adding six tackles and Crawford notching an 80.5% tackling grade.
