Note: Normally, “Inside the Trojans’ Huddle” posts every Tuesday. Due an On3 production issue, the Huddle was unable to post on its normal posting schedule, and we sincerely apologize to our loyal viewers and listeners. We expect that all future Huddle shows will be posted on future Tuesdays.

On this week’s “Inside the Trojans’ Huddle”, panelists Marc Kulkin, Chris Arledge, Kevin Bruce, and Greg Katz discuss the roster addition of All -America wide receiver Jordan Addison, NCAA rule 15.5.1.7 that allows a new coach to cut players from its current roster, an offense and defensive player that are under the radar in 2022, reaction to the Trojans installed as 34-point favorites against Rice, and the show concludes with the popular viewer questions and panel answers.

The first quarter of ITTH is devoted to the panel’s reaction to the official transfer of junior All-America receiver Jordan Addison. How will this affect the Trojans’ wide receiver room and team morale.

In the second quarter, the panel discusses NCAA rule 15.5.1.7 that allows a new coach to cut players from its current roster. Is Lincoln Riley being too cold blooded in ushering out Trojans on the roster to clear room for new portal transfers and recruits.

For halftime, the panel answers a two-part question. First, the panel gives their opinion on one player on offense and on defense that is flying under the radar. In the second question, will the fact that the Trojans have been installed as 34-point favorites against the Rice Owls in the season opener have an effect on the Coliseum attendance?

In the Huddle’s third quarter, the panel discusses the official announcement of the Pac-12 moving from a championship game between the North and South Divisions to a format that matches the two top conference teams with the best conference winning percentage.

For the lighting of the Coliseum torch between the third and fourth quarter, Chris Arledge’s “Musings with Arledge” commentary takes on the SEC and relates the whole episode to the Godfather movie series especially pointed at Alabama coach Nick Saban and Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher.

In the fourth quarter, the panel is asked – given the conflict between Alabama’s Nick Saban and Texas A&M’s Jimbo Fisher and the firestorm in the Southeast Conference – if Trojans head coach Lincoln Riley is more than happy that he made the move to USC and not stay at Oklahoma, which will soon be joining the Southeast Conference. The panel agrees on the decision of Lincoln Riley coming to USC and for avoiding having to deal with the SEC and its cast of characters.

And in Overtime, the panel answers viewer questions regarding a potential number conflict between Jordan Addison wearing No. 3 and that being currently retired in honor of Heisman Trophy winner Carson Palmer, the receiving depth chart, Trojans 2022 final record and 1000-yard rushers and receivers, and a question regarding Lincoln Riley’s ability to start a program from scratch.
