Two of USC’s five offensive line signees in the 2023 recruiting class are in Hawaii this week for the Poly Bowl. Amos Talalele and Micah Banuelos stopped to chat with WeAreSC’s Scott Schrader during check-in for the all-star game.

Both talked about representing their culture at the event, bonding with USC’s 2023 recruiting class and what they saw from the 2022 Trojans.

USC’s Representing at 2023 Poly Bowl

Talalele and Banuelos are two of six USC signees in attendance at the 2023 Poly Bowl.

Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Malachi Nelson will not be available to play as he continues his recovery following surgery to his non-throwing shoulder.

Fellow Five-Star Plus+ prospect, wide receiver Zachariah Branch, will be available. And chances are good he’ll be responsible for highlight-reel plays during practices and the game. He was named MVP of the 2023 Under Armour All-America Game thanks in large part to a 92-yard punt return touchdown.

Five-star wide receiver Makai Lemon and four-star running back Quinten Joyner will also participate in the Poly Bowl.

Branch, Joyner, Lemon and Nelson will all then head to USC as early enrollees.

Two Major Targets Remaining for USC’s Poly Bowl Participants

The six USC signees will have their sights set all week on two uncommitted players out in Hawaii for the event. Five-star tight end Duce Robinson has been a top USC target for the entire 2023 recruiting cycle. The Trojans long held the top spot in the RPM for Robinson, but Georgia took over that top spot in early January and now holds a 58.3% lead there.

Four-star cornerback Rodrick Pleasant is coming off an official visit to USC. The Trojans hold a commanding lead in the RPM for Pleasant, at 82.9%.
