A daily three-point briefing recapping the news and notes of USC athletics. Today, it’s Will Harriger to USC and Michael Hutchings headed to Western Kentucky. Also, the latest on two prospects set to visit the Trojans.

Riley Adds Will Harriger to Staff

Late Thursday night, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reported that Will Harriger will be joining Lincoln Riley’s staff as a senior offensive analyst. In the past, Harriger worked with the Seattle Seahawks with Pete Carroll as well as the Atlanta Falcons. He most recently coached for the Jacksonville Jaguars under Urban Meyer. At USC, he is going to work closely with Caleb Williams and the rest of USC’s quarterback room.

Michael Hutchings Headed to Western Kentucky

Former USC linebacker Michael Hutchings is headed to Western Kentucky to coach outside linebackers, according to FOX’s Bruce Feldman. Hutchings spent the last few seasons coaching in different roles at USC before becoming a defensive analyst at Oregon. Instead of coaching in Eugene this year, Hutchings will work with Tyson Helton, the brother of former USC head coach, Clay. Helton is 23-16 so far as the Hilltoppers’ head coach. Hutchings played four seasons at USC, amassing 117 total tackles, 3 sacks, and an interception.
