Planning criticism and negativity in advance. Impressive.
Where was the criticism or negativity? You are such a troll. You literally come on here once a month to argue with posters, you don’t provide context or reasoning for your posts and then you disappear for another month.

I stated his poor performance last year. That’s not criticism, it’s a fact. I stated a loss tomorrow would make this season go from decent to a disappointment. I don’t believe thats negativity.

FYI, this is a quote from Carino: “The unanimous selection was based on much more than the Pirates’ turnaround from last place to fourth, from seven wins to 20.”

I guess he also premeditated his article based on negativity…

Please, just stop with your nonsense. Instead of lauding his accomplishment or in the very least remaining silent, you instead clearly mplied that the the only reason Sha won COY was because of his dismal showing the prior year. You just can't bring yourself to say anything postive about Sha or the SHU.

Oh please. Basically every single poster on this board changed their tune about the COY. Just go back and look at the ongoing thread for that subject. Now you all want to act like you saw it coming when in reality you’re all changing your tune once HallDan put out his inside information.

Sha did a very nice job this year. But I hate the entire sentiment that they voted for him because we’re complete afterthoughts and the little engine that could. Ruins it for me

This is one of the most positive fan forums I have come across, seriously. If you think this is bad you haven't seen any other P5 basketball or football board. I'm not happy or angry that Sha won BE coach of the year - I don't really care much. Personally, I'm not going to remember 5 years from now "that was the season Sha won COY"

It also doesn't change the opinion I have on him as a coach. I'm glad he's the coach here but something needs to give on the offensive end moving forward for the program to take the next step. I think he's capable of it.

As for those who don't think Sha will use this for a pay bump - agree to disagree. And that's where my curiosity went as soon as it was announced that he won because like many of you I think he deserves a kudos but respectful denial at this point. I've said I would play hardball on that but if you do accept the reality he may look for greener pastures. Some are shocked to read that but its the reality of saying no offering him a raise.

I'm hoping this silly award for playing .500 ball in the worst power conference and missing the NCAA Tournament yet again gets him some looks elsewhere. It would be the best thing for Seton Hall. He can go make the money he selfishly craves elsewhere, and we can rid ourselves of his horrid style of play.

Yup, I was waiting for this one.

It's true, though. If Seton Hall loses tomorrow, that would be quite the disappointment. In addition to his 0-4 record in getting to NCAA Tournaments at Seton Hall, the newly minted BE COY would also fall to 0-4 in BET games. What a resume!

Thanks for having faith in one of Seton Hall’s own.

I figured you'd be one of the first to chime in. It has nothing to do with faith, although I have little to none in him. If he loses tomorrow, he'd then be 0-4 in BET games and will obviously miss the NCAAT again. Is that factually incorrect?

Why do you bother following the team?

You all keep trying to attack me rather than addressing the facts. Nothing I'm saying is factually incorrect.

Why do I bother following the team? I want better for Seton Hall. I want to actually make the NCAA Tournament for a change. This guy is incapable of doing it.

Nope, not at all.

I don't think he's the greatest coach. He's great with defense, failure with offense, weak with the programmatic details, very arrogant. I've said recently that I'd be ambivalent if he left.

But he's still Sha, one of Seton Hall's finest. So I'm happy for him and support him. Not that hard to do.

Agreed here overall, fair post. You mentioned the reasons why I don't like him as a coach. Great player, not so great coach. That said, I don't share your reverence for him as one of "Seton Hall's finest." I would put guys like Jerry Walker, Richie Regan, Terry Dehere, and a few others in that class way before Sha. Agree to disagree on that.

Isn‘t that what he means by saying ONE of Seton Hall’s finest? It’s amazing how you seem to have such strong dislike for the guy.
