Agreed with the right coach we can be top ten within 2-3 years!!Another nationally televised game, another beat down, so let’s not even get into the details. It’s time for coach to go. Bottom line. You have made some great hires thus far when making changes in our Olympic sports. This one should be next, and it shouldn’t be difficult, because New Jersey is loaded with women’s lacrosse talent.
Get it done Sir Hobbs!!
I disagree. It should be done Sunday night.PSU up 13-2 at halftime. About to go winless in B1G. Fire her on Monday morning, Hobbs.
Sam Kinison in Back to School, "Good answer. Good answer. I like the way you think. I'm gonna be watching you."I disagree. It should be done Sunday night.
PSU is a .500 team ... shouldn’t get crushed like that.PSU up 13-2 at halftime. About to go winless in B1G. Fire her on Monday morning, Hobbs.
1) absolutely NO reason both can’t be canned ESPECIALLY of their contracts are up; this isn’t football and basketball
2) women’s Lax isn’t getting dropped. Bet on it.
The fact that she's been here since 95 and hasn't done squat to me makes me think Hobbs would be MORE likely to fire her. Look at women's crew, Hobbs fired the idiot who was stealing money here for decades and in Year 2 under Price, has the team ranked and likely headed to NCAAs.I’m not as convinced LBS is getting fired as some of you. I’m sure she’s going to sell all the youth in the program when she meets with her boss. Don’t underestimate the fact that except for a cup of coffee at Fairfield she’s basically been here since 1995 when her college playing career started.
I agree, she’s been basically non-competitive in the Big Ten and was mediocre at best in the Big East.
Well, she was a player back then but I get your point. A change is long overdue, no argument. The fact that she's been here since 95 and hasn't done squat to me makes me think Hobbs would be MORE likely to fire her. Wasn't there a Power Five school football coach who was fired in the hallway after an away game a few years ago?
He will handle this professionally but she has got to go she is just not a good coach and as I have said with the right coach we can be top ten in 2 years; PS I don't care if she has ayear left on her contract because if she did that is Hobbs doing as any contract she is under was done under Hobbs tenure

You just can never make a single comment without finding something (else) to ***** about. It’s stunning.

As far as I'm concerned, there are 3 spring coaches in legitimate danger of being fired: Brand Sias who could be fired as early as tomorrow, Litterio, and the women's T&F coach who has been flying under the radar. I'd like to fire at least 2 of the 3 personally, preferably Brand Sias and Litterio.

Jesus Shill it’s Monday morning give it a rest buddy. Just because a couple guys here say “by Sunday night” doesn’t mean it’s gonna happen; merely opinion.
Hobbs has shown he WILL get rid of Olympic sport dead weight IF their contracts are up. Pretty sure, however, he hasn’t fired ANY of them 2 days after the season ended on a weekend.
Cool. So maybe by Friday we should have a clear idea of what Brand Sias's fate is.For the record, according to a news article, Hobbs dismissed the previous softball coach five days after the season ended.
There are 3 top areas right now for girls lacrosse they are New Jersey, Long Island and Maryland; There are other up and coming areas but these are the tops; If you can recruit New Jersey and develop the talent which she has never done you can be a top ten program in 2-3 years. One example is Florida which didn't even have a program and they were in a final four within 4 years.I've seen you mention this a few times now that you think a new coach can have a top-10 team in two to three years. Why do you think it will be so quick? because of girls lacrosse talent in New Jersey? My sense is it will take several years like field hockey.
I hope I am wrong but I don't recall us having a nationally ranked program in women's lacrosse for a long time so not sure why u think it will take such a short period of time.

In answer to your second line the reason you don't remember is because she has been the coach for 17 years and we have basically been mediocre at best.

Should the Women's Tennis coach be on this list?
With regard to women's tennis, we beat Nebraska and Penn State this year. The head coach is relatively new. Assistant coach who just started with us is Catarina Lindqvist who is a former professional player who made it to the semifinals of Wimbledon and the Australian Open. I doubt any other Big Ten teams can claim to have a coach with such credentials. We got the NJ state champ last year and it looks like a pretty good transfer coming in from Texas tech next year. Tennis just needs a couple good players to insert in the line up to be competitive in the Big Ten. I would say, like most sports, the facilities are holding us back. While football gets a new multimillion dollar (unnecessary) locker room, the rest of the Olympic teams have to wait in line for the crumbs. Need to give them some time to let things shake out.
Okay it’s been 3 days so sit tight.
That's very important information. Thank you for bringing that to our attention. Hobbs might not send her to the unemployment line until after the B1G spring meetings. It won't surprise me if this happens next week (if it is indeed going to happen). I understand that Big Ten AD spring meetings are this week in Arizona. I'd imagine this type of move would wait until Hobbs returns from that. Thus, no reason to conclude it won't happen if it doesn't happen this week.
The football team locker room is most definitely necessary. With regard to women's tennis, we beat Nebraska and Penn State this year. The head coach is relatively new.
