I moved it up to the 2nd spot.
Still gonna be waffle house at 2 am.
I'd exclude anything from CountyLine to South Jackson

Seriously, last year driving to work one Monday I saw the Waffle House on I55 at Northside had about a dozen bullet holes in the windows. It’s closed and torn down now.
At one time it was a pretty good restaurant. That was 30 years ago.
It wasn't even that long ago. The whole County Line Rd area was fine just about 15 years ago but it's really fallen off a cliff in the last 10 years or so.
I don't know what, if anything, could turn Jackson around at this point but it has lost virtually all its "good areas".

We have one here that went around the clock paper plates and plastic utensils because they kept having fights.
Pick 2 of 3:
1) Dynamic mayor who cares more about the city than himself;
2) A Joe Max type economic developer personality;
3) State government of who is favorable to and understands the necessity of Jackson's viability.
We 'kinda' have #3 right now.
10 to 15 years ago we were and it was a good spot, but like the rest of your great city you never visit it’s ruined.
Or pick 4) arrest the criminals and lock them in he 17 up and treat them like criminals
The vast majority of politicians prioritize one thing over everything else: getting themselves re-elected. The next thing they prioritize is enriching/empowering themselves. Very very few are in that filthy game for any reason other than personal gain.
