31st in RPI heading into tournament season, current bubble spot going straight off RPI is #39. 7 at-large teams are in that we are ahead of.

Edit: We will be away throughout the ACCT, which should help RPI if we get results, but our first game is against Notre Dame who is currently the first team out by RPI

If we can somehow get past UVa we get winner of 12/13 seeds Pitt / Cal in the semi’s. Not expecting it, just pointing that out.

some crazy games last night. SMU was up 4-2 on Wake with like 10 minutes left and ended up winning 5-4 in regulation.

I am not going to complain about earning a home game but I thought unseeded teams were supposed to be placed with distance as the priority? Isn't that what happened in the Women's tourney?

Yet we have:
  • North Florida (RPI 50 - ASUN) @ UNC (RPI 28 - ACC) with the winner going to #4 Maryland (RPI 7 - B1G)
  • St John's (RPI 42 - Big East) @ WVU (RPI 21 - Big XII) with the winner going to #10 High Point (RPI 11 - Big South)
Shouldn't we be in High Point's bracket and St John/WVU in Maryland's bracket?

And it has nothing to do with the next opponent: Both likely face a quarterfinal against a seeded Big East team.

they have dook going to Princeton, so same fixable issue there (insert University of South New Jersey joke here.)

all 4 seeded ACC teams are arranged to face each other at the round of 16, which should limit the number of ACC teams able to make it to the quarterfinal to two unless one of dook, Clemson, UNC, cuse, or ND can eliminate two top 16 opponents in their round 2 and 3 games.
