We have locker room problems that are significant.
Roster improvements are important but Norvell better figure out and fix the locker room problems or we are looking at a 3 or 4 win season next year.

I'd still have him running stadium steps if I was the coach. He's gotta learn that if he has a problem, he needs to follow the chain of command. That's what Bobby always installed. If your position coach is giving you problems, talk to your coordinator. If that doesn't work, then come see me.

Make it up to the team and fans on the field, this will quickly be forgotten. I don't disagree with his opinions though.

I’m glad he apologized but I think he still believes what he said. He just didn’t say it the politically correct way.

“When I said that Florida State is an absolute joke, the coaches aren’t even qualified to handle middle school P.E., Mike Norvell is such a beta that we all gave him that black eye like Murder on the Orient Express, and the starting team next year is going to be half players with prosthetic legs and arms, I should have chosen my words more judiciously and sincerely apologize.”

He could be one of the players that changes things instead of making a mockery of it

Get him out! Or make him give some of his money to Mandrell Desir or Chris Jones.

If the worst thing he said was we can’t practice because we don’t have enough safeties vs DBs then move on.

I say hit the road Jack. We are in a deep dark hole and bowing to hot headed malcontents will only hurt us.
We haven't had a leader since JT13 left. Norvell has not been capable to lead as a coach, but he better now grow a pair real fast. He can't look into a locker room full of mercenaries for a leader to bail him out. It's time for him to start leading and tell this guy sayonara. These kids need, and some are crying for, a good kick in the a$$ or two. IMHO

omeganole said:This is exactly right. He was convinced by someone this was too far given he is a highly compensated contract player. Maybe he was threatened. Either way he spoke his truth. He was honest. This is a broken program and Barker just allowed a peak behind the curtain. This locker room will quit on this coach and he will hopefully finally be fired. There is nothing left to do except complete this trash season and finally give this program the reset it needs.Yep. He said what he thought. Everyone knows. An apology is better than him doubling down but yesterday just confirmed what a lot of people figured was a prominent mindset on the team.

I don’t blame the kid honestly. Our roster construction is nonsensical. We have 1 defensive tackle currently on the roster. If the kid cares about winning and being on a good defense then I don’t blame him for being upset and confused. I'm wondering the exact same thing, what happens when Daniel Lyons gets tired? Daniel Lyons is the only 300 pound defensive lineman on our roster. What happens when he gets tired? We start giving up 10 yards per rush like we did against Florida? Is that the plan?

Yall are ridiculous - he didn’t say anything wrong - he didn’t need to apologize
He just shouldn’t have done it on a live stream because it is embarrassing… but he did nothing wrong or unethical

I am very thankful for your apology! Don’t let the door hit you on the way out. Thank you for your service not for your attitude!
