Big 10 Championship

It would be nice if Big 10 didn't have the championship game on selection Sunday. Give the BIG 10 top teams a couple days of rest before the Big tourney. Will it be a disadvantage to make the finals? Big Championship March 15 Big semifinal March 14 Big quarterfinal March 13 https://img.boostsport.ai/boost-cms/2026_MBB_Tournament_Bracket.pdf
  • Selection Sunday: Sunday, March 15
  • First Four: March 17-18
  • First round: March 19-20
  • Second round: March 21-22
  • Sweet 16: March 26-27
  • Elite Eight: March 28-29
  • Final Four: April 4 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis
  • NCAA championship game: April 6 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis

The goal is to make the semi finals and lose. Playing for a Big Ten title is detrimental to bigger goals.

Win the games you play and figure the rest out after. Pretty simple imo.

Big 10 maximizes revenue over championship opportunities.

They will have at minimum 4 days rest. Not really a big deal IMO.

It would be awesome winning the B1G tournament but that said what’s more important is wining than the first round on the NCAA tournament.

lol come on! I think this will be the team to get that first win, but I’d still rather win the B1G tournament and take our chances with one less rest day. Your take is Image

Exactly! I'm not turning down a conference championship tournament trophy. Some people are nuts.

4 days rest as a 20 year old athlete? Nah, won't affect it much if anything.
