Interest has gone from sky high to a low murmur, at best.
It's not just that they're losing. Rather, it's the shoddy-fielding, popup-swinging, spiritless and deflating ways that they're finding to lose these games.
Here we are in the last full week in March and this board is almost devoid of baseball talk. Didn't think that was possible.
LSU was 8-0 on Feb. 24 when Glenn Guilbeau published his Tiger Rag article that quoted Jay Johnson as saying, "There are some schools that are all in on baseball. And we need to be one of those schools. We’re not there yet.”
LSU has gone 8-9 since that article.
Just sayin'.

We scored 31 in Nashville and lost the series. And you’re right, it’s not losing, it’s how we are losing most games. It’s just not fun to watch right now. We’ll see if any of it is fixable this season with this roster.Interest has gone from sky high to a low murmur, at best. It's not just that they're losing. Moore being out is going to sting for sure. A lot of pressure on Evans and Schmidt now

Always thought fan was short for fanatic and meant true supporter rather than entitled twit. It's less unfortunate that they pissed in your cheerios than losing games. They are struggling. There was a day when that meant fan support.

I haven’t had time to watch them the last two weeks but all LSU has to do is make the postseason and Jay cooks

I’m not going to crash out in March after watching LSU start 3-12 in the SEC in 2024 before a dropped fly ball prevented them from hosting a Super Regional.
The pieces are there, just need to be put together.

One thing I’ve found interesting about our hitters this year is that we do the hardest part of baseball and put the ball in play. It’s just always a pop up or a groundout lmao
I just went and looked it up and we are actually very much above average in terms of not striking out. Interested to see if this can lead to anything with some minor tweaks

I had joked with some on here a couple of weeks after that came out that Jay had cursed the program by giving Guilblow of all people an interview and further compounded it by putting the bad juju in the air over the "need for more support". But it has all kind of held true. Maybe we need some sort of sacrificial ceremony. If it means throwing Guilblow into a fire or pit or maybe a fiery pit, then I'm cool with that. 😅LSU was 8-0 on Feb. 24 when Glenn Guilbeau published his Tiger Rag article that quoted Jay Johnson as saying, "There are some schools that are all in on baseball. So I think he's sacrificing some now in the sake of getting him reps to be prepared for later. Also curious to see where William Patrick is going to fit in on the infield as Jay alluded to in his post-game presser the other day.Wonder if they let yamin dabble at 1st
