Does Oregon not recruit WR’s over 6’0?

Heading into next year this is who Oregon will have : Dak Moore 5’11 Evan Stewart 6’0 JMac 5’11 Dillon Gresham 6’0 Jack Ressler 5’10 Messiah Hampton 6’1 Jalen Lott 6’0 Hudson Lewis 5’9 Iverson Hooks 5’10 Surely this is an issue Dan wants to remedy? To have only one WR on the roster over 6’0 and he’s a true freshman, seems kind of an oversight no? Had the chance to get Nick Marsh (6’3) and Cam Coleman (6’3 and fast) in the portal but seems Dan didn’t even try there. Just seems odd imo.

Why do that when you have a 6’7 TE and JMAC makes catches like he’s over 6 foot

I wish everyone was as tall and productive as Kyler Kasper. -AirforceDuck Probably.

I mean we certainly tried to remedy it with Chris Henry.

Gatlin Bair is 6’2”. Kasper and Perry were 6’6” and 6’2” respectively and that didn’t help their production. We would’ve gladly taken Cam Coleman but he got a $3.5M offer from Texas. For Marsh I’m guessing it’s related to staggering the classes since we have so many other young guys.

Bair is 6’1 or 6’2

One of the few highlights from the IU game. Ponds lept into his arms

Forgot about Bair so he adds some nice size and speed at 6’2

Staff put a lot of effort into Henry and Dallas Wilson… so seems like they are focused on adding size

Height is one of the more overrated qualities with receivers. Here's the top 10 receivers in receiving yards in the NFL this year. Funny that the larger WRs give us the most challenge. Saratt destroyed us.

AFD's delivery leaves a lot to be desired sometimes but I think there's a good point in there. Not that Dan doesn't recruit taller receivers, but I do think this team would have benefited from a larger WR this year. Holden was able to be that guy two seasons ago and he helped the team a LOT. Again, I don't think Dan is doing it on purpose and it's just how things have turned out, but I'd feel better about our receivers with a couple of guys at least 6'2" or more that can contribute.

i wonder if becasue our DB's never have to go against skilled taller receivers that can win 50/50 in practice they struggle when they see them in games

We only recruit 6' + WR's if they can't catch or run or jump
