This is a crazy thread but I will say Roy’s influence needs to go. When he jumped into the Smith Center fray, he put himself out there to be criticized.

Roy has lost a lot of goodwill with me. Too emotionally involved, and it’s hurting the program.

I would rather get bounced in the acct before playing Duke again. If we play them again and lose which we will that’ll make it 1-5 against them the last two seasons. 1-4 sucks enough already but 1-5 is just pathetic.

With Caleb we beat the overall number 1 seed in the field. The NCAAT is the flukiest tournament in all of sport. I don’t care how you view HD but this team could have made a final four with a healthy roster.

Since Roy won the Barnes recruitment and published an ode to how great he was and turned the program into his own vanity project. We’ve been a top 4 seed 6 times in 15 seasons. Weve been a top 4 seed once this decade. Roy’s vanity project of refusing to do what was necessary to acquire talent has led to us not being competitive with them as a program. We have no chance of beating them and I’d frankly not like to see another blistering reminder of Roy’s vanity.

We are exactly who the metrics said we are. Yall acting like this would have been different with Caleb are delusional. They are a different team than when we played them a month ago. They have a huge talent advantage. Wilson has nothing to do with what happened tonight. I had hope even without Wilson we could show tonight we are better than the metrics, but we are exactly who they say we are. They get one more off season to show they can compete in talent acquisition and if they can’t, nepotism gets scrapped.

This offseason they will assemble a championship caliber team. I can sense it and we have a solid foundation of players that can produce. Also we have less question marks. With Dixon, Mingo, Adam’s, High. Jaron and Denis. Keep these players and go after other players

We werent close to a FF contender with CW. Without CW we are closer to bubble than FF. Next year has a chance to be 2020 if we dont get homeruns and athletes in portal if we plan on running Dixon and DM as pgs. We are no longer a contending program. We are lucky we had one of the top five players in college basketball. The difference in coaching and talent on the court tonight and program stature was miles apart.

100% agree. We were told that the current outcome would be uacceptable and place Hubert at risk for Termination at the beginning of the year by IC reporting. Yet here we are again saying ….welll if this happened again next year….
