We all know he should’ve hired Brad “earned not given” Calipari. He’s the director of on-court player development. No assistant to the regional manager for B-rad.

Jack, I heard it mentioned somewhere that Keegan assisted Pope building last year’s (pope’s first) roster, is that correct?

Hope he’s already cooking up the next Amari Williams for us.

This 100% is not the GM. They are hiring a GM. From what I've gathered Keegan will be more focused on game-planning things. We had our GA's/different assistants doing game-plan stuff this season, and well... You watched what happened. The GM announcement is coming in the next couple of weeks if I had to guess.

The hire isn’t a mess just because you don’t understand it. It’s actually a great hire. This guy is a huge reason BYU finished fifth in their first year in the Big 12, and did it without all the money and dybansta, Demin, Rob wright caliber players. They did it without guys like Dallin hall, aly khalifa, Noah waterman, etc. What does he do? Scouts players and Builds rosters. What was our problem this year? Building a cohesive roster. He does not negotiate NIL deals. He is not a GM

Hiring a GM after the portal season closes is a bold strategy. Let's see how it plays out...
