I know it’s not going to happen this year, but the writing is on the wall. She’s not going to make it here.

Don’t waste money firing her. All money spent on her is a waste!

But with Oliviyah Edward’s coming in, that’s enough to let her run it back one more time, cuz that girl might be the best recruit we’ve gotten since Candace Parker… hopefully Caldwell will stop bringing in bad eggs and learned to bring in players with good attitudes.Obviously charged after another home loss but curious of your thoughts

First off, Caldwell has to be able to admit that the way she’s running her system right now is not working in this league. Secondly, she has to hope this freshmen class doesn’t hit the portal. Edwards needs to be a star right out of the gate. And she has to get at least 2 or 3 impact players from the portal. That’s a lot. It just can’t be the status quo next season. What if Oliviyah Edwards is as good as advertised? She’s a potential great one.

She’s not going to make it here because she’s in over head, but I wouldn’t pay her a buyout. Just have to ride it out and not spend anymore unnecessary money.

I would honestly be okay either way.
I think she is likely to get a 3rd year, but I also think her system is garbage at this level.

Yeah. Every other sport that has had or is having a "down year" has a decent excuse, or has made some needed course corrections. Caldwell has just not managed her team well.

The poll should have had a "Don't care about Women's basketball" option

I'm actually surprised at the results. Perhaps we all need more patience with her.

Not yet, but if next season goes south then she may be gone. I usually use the projection of the following season to determine keeping a coach...if the next year looks bright then let them run it back, if not then they're out.

She’s still young in terms of being a head coach, especially at this level. I agree she has a lot to learn and mature as a coach. Hope she can do it!
