May, Lloyd and Donovan all seem to be in play still. Good news.

Maybe Lloyd asked us to wait!

I want Lloyd but I don’t think there’s a bad hire to be made between Lloyd, May or Donovan.

Re the current players, I do find it interesting that none have entered the portal specifically because Hubert was fired.

my overall thoughts so far are that UNC would not be willing to wait if there wasn't serious, credible interest being reciprocated by Lloyd or May's circles. To the point where we are willing to get into a bidding war, etc. I love the fact that we have the long term outlook here. Quick hiring the wrong guy just so he can be in place for this years portal is far worse than hiring the long term right guy and him being behind the 8 ball a bit for one year.

Seems pretty clear that Tommy Lloyd is the top choice, but if Arizona wins on Saturday is there a possibility we switch up and full-court press Dusty May due to timing and potential availability?

That's what I think as well. Add to the mix that UNC is the #1 job out there and the ability to cover buy outs and double Lloyd/May's current salary it sounds like UNC is in a good spot as it stands today

If Donovan is really as interested in this job as he appears to be, it’s really not. The NBA season doesn’t end until April 12th, so it’s not like he’s going anywhere. We should know if either or both of May/Lloyd have any serious legs by April 7th maybe the 8th at latest. Best, not fastest hire.

We were bound to lose a huge chunk of the roster regardless, the only ones that I'd really hate to see go are stevenson and dixon (assuming Henri's gone)

Still no information as to whether May is actually interested or just leveraging the interest from UNC.

10-20 years against one more week? Worth the wait.

As long as we get one of the three I'll be happy. I'd be ecstatic if it's Lloyd though

Thanks Greg!! Fingers still crossed it's Lloyd. He seems the most aligned with UNC's past style of play. But all good options still in play. It's seems we don't have a no from anyone yet, which is great news. Go Heels!!!
