10 weeks into the 2025 season, we are ‘oh so close’ to the College Football Playoff rankings, so let’s add a little BCS flare! One more day takes place between now and then, getting the initial top 25 revealed on Nov. 4.

Before then, other rankings are still being used. Primarily the AP poll but the BCS remains alive due to the X account ‘BCS Know How.’ Mondays bring the latest top 25 from college football’s old method of determining the national champion.

There is some change throughout due to Week 10 results. Let’s check out the full thing below, beginning in Columbus, OH.

1. Ohio State

Ohio State tops the rankings if they went by the BCS method. The Buckeyes are 8-0 and No. 1 in the most recent AP Poll, so this makes the most sense.

They’ve rolled through their opponents and their opening weekend win over Texas is looking more impressive by the week! The defending champs are still the best in the land.

2. Indiana

The Hoosiers are hot on the Buckeyes’ tail. Imagine if the BCS rankings were still used and it was just the top two teams?

That would mean Curt Cignetti would have a crack at Ryan Day to unseat his squad as the best in the country. Indiana playing for a national title? It could still happen in the CFP.

3. Texas A&M

The Aggies are still unbeaten right now and could very well win the SEC. The BCS formula has them at the top of the conference and No. 3 overall.

Mike Elko’s squad has to take on Missouri and Texas on the road in two of their final four games. It’ll be a challenge, but Texas A&M might be on the shortlist to win it all if they get through that unscathed.

4. Alabama

The Crimson Tide are coming off a bye week at 7-1, winners of seven games in a row. The BCS formula puts them in the top four, which gives them a bye in a CFP scenario.

They’ve come a long way and have a Heisman candidate at QB in Ty Simpson. Next up is a reeling LSU team Saturday night before hosting Oklahoma.

5. Georgia

Georgia had a tough time with Florida, which makes sense from a rivalry game perspective. Others might critique their struggles in a 24-20 win.

Nonetheless, Georgia is 7-1 on the year and firmly in the title conversation and SEC title race. The BCS rankings agree, putting them in the top five.

6. Ole Miss

Ole Miss took care of business and beat South Carolina to improve to 8-1. If it weren’t for their loss to Georgia, there’s a case to make this the No. 1 team in the country, BCS or otherwise.

But Lane Kiffin and crew just keep on trucking. It would be a collapse if they don’t make the CFP at this rate.

7. Oregon

Oregon, like several others, had a bye week this past weekend. Now, they’ll travel to Iowa for an intriguing Big Ten matchup.

But as it stands, the Ducks are a top 10 team in the BCS rankings. It’s an indication that they could be high up when the CFP rankings come out Tuesday night.

8. BYU

BYU beat Iowa State two weeks ago to improve to 8-0 and are firmly in the CFP conversation. As far as the national title? Remains to be seen.

But, the BCS rankings like the Cougars as a top 10 team in the country. There’s a massive game against Texas Tech this week.

9. Texas Tech

Speaking of Texas Tech, they host BYU this week in a top 10 game. That top 10 is for the AP Poll and the BCS! Maybe even the CFP!

Anyway, the loser might have a tough time getting into the bracket, but they could always rematch in the Big 12 championship. Either way, someone’s season could be altered.

10. Notre Dame

Notre Dame has won six games in a row since losing their first two to Texas A&M and Miami. The Miami loss lost a little bit of shine, but the Fighting Irish are hot.

So, if you go by the BCS rankings (imaginary), they are a top 10 team. Marcus Freeman and crew could be inthe top 10 of Tuesday night’s CFP reveal anyway.
