ESPN reveals updated bowl, College Football Playoff predictions following wild Week 11

Week 11 certainly had its fair share of surprising results that impacted both the College Football Playoff and bowl picture. With much to analyze, ESPN’s Kyle Bonagura and Mark Schlabach released their updated projections.

Oregon, which was listed as a CFP team in last week’s predictions according to Bonagura, fell out as a result of its 37-34 loss to Washington on Saturday. Bonagura replaced the Ducks with Tennessee in his prediction this week, while Schlabach took Michigan out of his projected Playoff to add a different Pac-12 contender in USC.

Bonagura has the Wolverines in his Playoff, however, while Schlabach picked Ohio State to represent the Big Ten. The Buckeyes are set to face Michigan at noon ET on Nov. 26 with the winner likely a lock to make the CFP assuming they also take care of business in the Big Ten Championship.

Other than that, Bonagura and Schlabach agree that Georgia and TCU will make the Playoff. The Horned Frogs (10-0) continued to roll with a big win against Texas this past week, while the Bulldogs (10-0) handled business in a 45-19 win against Mississippi State.

As we saw this past week, projections can change dramatically with just one Saturday’s worth of games and plenty more will change between now and the conference championships. Here is a look at how ESPN sees the College Football Playoff and bowl season lining up after Week 11.
