New Mexico targeting former UAB interim head coach Bryant Vincent for offensive coordinator job

New Mexico is targeting former UAB interim head coach Bryant Vincent for its offensive coordinator job, sources tell On3.
Vincent was UAB’s interim head coach this season after four seasons as the Blazers’ offensive coordinator under Bill Clark.
Under Vincent, UAB finished 7-6 this season and beat Miami (OH) in the Bahamas Bowl. Aided by Vincent, the Blazers were 35-15 from 2018 to ’21, including 19-6 in Conference USA play.

Vincent, a former Alabama high school head coach, was assistant head coach, offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at South Alabama for three seasons prior to making the move to UAB in 2018. Vincent had previously been Clark’s offensive coordinator at UAB in 2014.
New Mexico parted ways with offensive coordinator Derek Warehime in October. The Lobos finished the year 2-10.
