The SEC has announced update kickoff times and television designations for their Week 5 slate. It features some awesome games on Sept. 27.

As you can tell, those are some pretty sweet games on the slate for Week 5. Some of the conference’s best will have another shot at proving their worth, and showing why they’re some highly regarded at the moment.
Moreover, excitement for the remainder of the season is growing larger due to some of the performances we saw in Week 3. Gunner Stockton was great at quarterback for Georgia against Tennessee, and that earned him the honor of being named to the SEC Players of the Week.
He’d been questioned a good bit coming into this season, especially going into his first career start both on the road and in conference play for what was a Top-15 matchup against No. 15 Tennessee. Stockton more than proved himself, though, by being 23-31 (74.2%) for 304 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 38 yards and another score, with the Bulldogs’ offense helping to make a two-score comeback, posting 502 total yards, in the 44-41 OT win on Rocky Top.

On the other side of the football, Alabama’s Bray Hubbard and LSU’s Dashawn Spears led the way on defense. The pair of safeties were named SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week after each picking off a pair of passes respectively for the Crimson Tide and the Tigers.
Hubbard had his career-best with two interceptions, and two deflections, in a 38-14 win for ‘Bama against Wisconsin while Spears had the first two takeaways of his career, one going back for a 58-yard pick-six, as part of a five-interception effort in the 20-10 win for LSU over Florida.
It’s anyone’s guess who will be awarded in Week 5, but when the time comes, every player in the SEC knows what’s at stake. It’ll take a ton of effort to secure the award, and a win usually comes with the territory, as well.
