Former USC and Georgia defensive lineman Bear Alexander is visiting Oregon on Thursday, Dec. 19, according to his Instagram story. Alexander was a former Top 100 prospect.

He began his career at Georgia in 2022 as a true freshman before transferring to USC for the 2023 season. After four games with the Trojans in 2024, Alexander left the team and planned to enter the transfer portal.

Oregon,Ā Penn State, andĀ SMUĀ are the programs that are most intriguing options to Alexander in his latest recruitment in the portal, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

With that, Alexander would be considering three teams in the Ducks, Nittany Lions, and Mustangs who all made it inĀ the College Football Playoff. They also each had defenses that are in the Top-30 nationally in 2024.

Alexander spent the past two seasons withĀ USCĀ after starting his career withĀ Georgia. He has appeared in 28 games with theĀ BulldogsĀ and Trojans, including double-digit starts on the defensive line while in LA. However, heĀ ended this last season earlyĀ in appearing in just three first three before departing from ā€˜SC.

In those outings, Alexander has posted 61 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and four deflections with most of that coming during his sophomore season.

Per the current ratings inĀ On3’s 2025 Top Transfer Portal Players, Alexander isĀ the No. 1 DLĀ and the No. 29 overall transfer.

That’s all after Alexander, a native of Denton, Texas, was a former four-star recruit out ofĀ IMG AcademyĀ inĀ the 2022 cycle. That’s perĀ the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He rated as the No. 43 overall player andĀ the No. 7 DL.

When on the field with a program, Alexander has been impactful with a lot of pedigree there. One of those three in Oregon, Penn State, and SMU could now be who gets his commitment next based on this update from one of the top transfers on the defensive line.
