NFL Draft Daniel Jeremiah list

The NFL Combine is in the books and now come the updated draft boards. But Daniel Jeremiah’s are different than most because he ranks prospects without regard to position.

Jeremiah is the chief draft analyst for NFL Network. And he helped host hours of coverage from Indianapolis as the top prospects gathered to impress NFL scouts.

Were there any changes to Jeremiah’s top 50? Here’s a hint. Receivers, quarterbacks and tackles are at the top of the NFL Draft heap. If you love defense, maybe wait out the first 10 selections next month when the draft commences.

1. Caleb Williams, QB USC

Williams had a less stressful combine than some of the other NFL draft prospects. He did not do the workouts or the medical testing. But it did not matter. He stays No. 1.

The Bears are on the clock for Williams. Jeremiah says this about the QB. “His creativity makes him special, but he will need to play more on schedule at the next level. Overall, Williams has areas in which he needs to improve, but he has franchise-altering upside.”

2. Marvin Harrison Jr., WR Ohio State

This NFL Draft is top heavy with elite receivers. And Harrison gets the nod from Jeremiah as the best of the strong group.

He did not work out in Indianapolis and even skipped his press conference. But as of now, it does not matter to his draft status. Jeremiah says Harrison is terrific because he is “built like a power forward, he plays with a blend of physicality and explosiveness.”

3. Rome Odunze, WR Washington

The former Husky receiver chose to go through the drills. And being proactive helped his cause. NFL Network even showed video of him re-doing a cone drill to make it perfect.

Jeremiah likens Odunze to a big time player. “Overall, Odunze is a complete player and reminds me of Larry Fitzgerald coming out of college.”

4. Malik Nabers, WR LSU

Boom, boom, boom, we have another receiver. But this time, being third best still places you among Jeremiah’s top four.

“Overall,” Jeremiah writes, “Nabers is an electric playmaker who reminds me of DJ Moore with the ball in his hands.”

5. Drake Maye, QB North Carolina

Maye stays as the No. 2 quarterback in Jeremiah’s list after Indy. Maye did not work out at the combine, but count on the Commanders, with the second selection, vetting Maye.

The former Tar Heel “has some things to clean up,” Jeremiah wrote. “But he has every ingredient to be a top-tier starter at the game’s most important position.”

6. Jayden Daniels, QB LSU

The reigning Heisman winner is the third best quarterback on this list. However, he is high in the NFL Draft hierarchy.

In fact, it was his Heisman season that made him such a lofty choice. “Daniels took a massive leap in 2023,” Jeremiah wrote. “And now offers both a high floor and ceiling.”

7. Brock Bowers, TE Georgia

The former Georgia star is the lone tight end on the list. And at No. 7, he is one spot higher than he was on the original Jeremiah rankings. He still probably is a top 15 pick.

Jeremiah thinks he is the next coming of George Kittle, the 49ers star who presses Travis Kelce for top tight end in the NFL.

8. Terrion Arnold, CB Alabama

Arnold actually dropped a spot from the first Jeremiah ranking. But take note. He is the first defensive player on the list.

Jeremiah acknowledged he “struggled to find much to criticize in Arnold’s play.”

9. Taliese Fuaga, OT Oregon State

Here is where the rankings get juicy. Who is the best offensive lineman available? This week it is Fuaga. In the first list, he ranked 11th. Maybe it is because of his versatility.

“Overall, I don’t see much weakness in Fuaga’s game,” Jeremiah said. “He has Pro Bowl potential at tackle — and if needed, could slide inside and play guard.”

10. Joe Alt, OT Notre Dame

Alt had been the top tackle, but he dropped a spot. It is all about preferences.

The former Notre Dame star “isn’t a rare athlete,” Jeremiah wrote. “But his combination of size, instincts and youth (he’ll be 21 for his entire rookie season) is easy to bet on.”
