Stanford, CA -- May 17, 2025: Keysaun Eleazer during an official visit photoshoot at Stanford University.

Stanford football picked up a commitment from 2026 3-star edge rusher Keysaun Eleazer out of Southeast Raleigh High School in Raleigh, North Carolina. Eleazer is the 17th commit for Stanford in the 2026 class, giving them a nice boost to their defense. Below are some thoughts I have on Eleazer and what he’ll bring to the Cardinal.

Via Steve Wiltfong: Stanford lands a commitment from disruptive EDGE Keysaun Eleazer

Listed at 6’5”, 205 pounds, Eleazer has exciting physical tools. His length pops out immediately when you watch his tape and when you combine that with his speed and aggression, you got a real force to be reckoned with. He plays with tremendous passion and instinct, possessing a great feel for the game.

Eleazer does a nice job of getting his hands all balls, creating a lot of deflections and pop ups, which can lead to interceptions. He has all the makings of a guy who should be able to force his share of fumbles at the next level. Something else that he does well is finishing the play and playing to the whistle. He doesn’t take plays off and is always looking to make his presence felt.

Good edge rushers have various ways of getting to the quarterback and Eleazer checks off that box. He can get after quarterbacks both by beating offensive tackles to the outside or slipping through on the inside. He is difficult to contain because there isn’t just one way to stop him. You have to be on your toes the entire time if you want to prevent him from making a play in the backfield.

The one thing that Eleazer will need to do in order to get ready for college is getting bigger and stronger. When you watch him on tape, he does look a little thin. He’ll have to beef up a bit to be better prepared for the offensive tackles that he’ll face. This of course is common for all high school guys as they look to make the jump to the Division I level.

All around, Keysaun Eleazer appears to be a terrific prospect for Stanford to add to their 2026 recruiting class. As the Cardinal look to make noise in the ACC in the coming seasons, they’re going to need guys who can make plays in the backfield and apply some pressure on opposing quarterbacks. It’ll be fun to see what kind of impact Eleazer makes and how Stanford’s defense puts his talents to use.
