Video: Sights and sounds from first practice inside the stadium

The Jayhawks are now past the one week mark of training camp. On Friday evening the team got the first look and practiced on the new turf inside David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.
Kansas Athletic Director Travis Goff said weeks ago the target date for the first practice was August 1 and they made that goal.
Yesterday Lance Leipold said the players were looking forward to practicing inside the stadium.

“I think our guys are looking forward to it,” he said. “You can see it outside my office, the bags of sand and rubber disappearing. Lots of fire alarm testing, and things are moving toward approval. I know our guys will be excited.”
Shortly after Leipold met with the media they got clearance to practice on Friday evening. Here are some sights and sounds from practice and a view from the field.
