Is Ryan Williams the best player in Alabama regardless of class?

The numbers has been insane for Ryan Williams this season. The sophomore from Saraland High School in Alabama, has 37 touchdowns this season after adding three more in a 57-56 overtime win in the quarterfinals of the 6A state playoffs against Homewood on Friday night.

Williams had 10 receptions for 160 yards and a touchdown (30-yards). He also had 10 rushing attempts for 159 yards and two touchdowns (83, 33). His total numbers currently for the season include 78 receptions for 1,482 yards with 23 touchdowns. He also has 506 yards rushing with 11 touchdowns. Williams has two punt returns for touchdowns and a passing touchdown.

The performances have put Saraland (14-1) into the semi-finals in a rematch against Theodore (13-0). The Spartans fell 27-26 to the Bobcats in Week 9. Williams had two touchdowns in the earlier match-up which included a 13-yard reception and 76-yard punt return. His team will heavily rely on him for a shot at redemption. An invite to the Mr. Football awards banquet is also very likely for the Alabama commitment.
