Top-10 QB Husan Longstreet plans unofficial visit to Auburn

Four-star quarterback Husan Longstreet plans to visit Auburn soon.

Longstreet, who attends Centennial High School in Corona, Calif., is tentatively set to be on the Plains in March.

“I have been communicating with the coaches and I’m looking to visit March 23,” he told Auburn Live.

It will be Longstreet’s first visit to Auburn.

Longstreet has released a top group of schools that included Washington, Michigan, Louisville, Oregon, Ole Miss, Florida State, UCLA, and Miami. However, that was in early November. A lot has changed since then, including an offer from Auburn.

The Tigers offered Longstreet on Nov. 21, three weeks after he released his top group. He now is open to other schools.

“I’m looking for a place I can develop and grow,” he told On3. “Everyone is kind of even right now.”

As a junior in 2023, Longstreet completed 199-of-298 passes (67%) for 3,013 yards with 24 touchdowns and six interceptions. He also rushed for 645 yards and seven scores.

He plans to take several visits before making his college choice.

“I’m thinking maybe before my senior year in May or June,” he told On3. “I want to commit early after taking visits.”

The On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies, ranks Longstreet the No. 9 quarterback in the class. He’s also ranked the No. 136 overall recruit in the country and No. 13 in California.

No. 8 OLB/edge Zion Grady visits Auburn

Four-star outside linebacker/edge Zion Grady visited Auburn over the weekend. The former Alabama commitment arrived on campus Friday and stayed until Saturday.

“I felt like it went pretty good,” he said. “Also, I got to talk to the coaching staff more and get more comfortable around them. I watched practiced, too., and chilled.”

Grady, who now attends Enterprise (Ala.) High School, met extensively with Auburn outside linebackers coach Josh Aldridge.

“He’s a pretty good guy,” Grady said. “I’m getting to know him more. I watched him at practice and he’s very involved with my position. I like his style.”

Grady also hung out with Auburn defensive line commitment Malik Autry.

“He’s just trying to get me down (to Auburn with him),” Grady said. “He wants to get me to play at Auburn with him. I like it. We’ll see how it plays out.”
