Four-star edge Wilky Denaud was in Auburn this weekend on an official visit.

Denaud, from John Carroll in Fort Pierce, Fla., arrived on campus Friday night and stayed until Sunday afternoon.

Here’s what Denaud had to say about his official visit.

On Auburn’s 41-12 loss to Penn State…

“I saw that they could really use me because I have the size and I’m ready to go. I also fit in with Derick Hall and all those guys. I definitely could see the comparison with Derick Hall, just his size alone. Also, some of his moves I use in my game as well. I feel like I could come in and contribute.”

What about the gameday atmosphere?

“The whole game, really, the fans were really supportive. The atmosphere was live and exciting from the beginning to the end. There was a lot of energy.”

Denaud’s commitment to Auburn strong

You’re committed to Auburn, but will you take any other visits?

“I have plans on taking the ones I have set up. Tennessee, Indiana and FSU, still.”

How do you feel about your commitment to Auburn?

“I’m still very strong with Auburn. Those visits are just for the experience. I want to enjoy.”

Who was your host on the visit?

“I was with Cam Brown (Saturday night). He took me around and showed me around. He’s a cool dude and let me know how it is. We played in the same area in Florida.”
