Georgia Bulldogs Countdown to Kickoff: 90 Days

Tramel Walthour wears jersey #90 for the Georgia Bulldogs. He’s earned today’s countdown to kickoff focus as a result.

Walthour is a man stepping up into Travon Walker‘s shoes between the hedges.

Jake Camarda (also a Georgia 90) is a man stepping out into the NFL. Someone else will have to step up into his.

Tramel Walthour must deliver for Georgia football defense

Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins looked strong in Georgia’s G Day spring game. Tramel Walthour sat out due to injury, and TID shined.

But Walthour has to be the guy on the outside of the d-line this fall. He’s the one with all the in-game experience (14 total tackles last season). He’s the one who saw up close just how impactful Walker could be.

Georgia fans will probably like the fact that he played at Liberty Country high school. That’s also Richard LeCounte’s high school alma mater.

If Tramel Walthour’s leadership and commitment to the team are anywhere close to LeCountes,’ the Dawgs are obviously in aggressive and capable hands.

Filling in the boots of another Georgia #90… Jake Camarda

Jake Camarda is off to the league. The Buccaneers drafted the former Georgia punter in round four with pick number 28.

That draft spot tells ya: Camarda made the #90 look good while he kicked during his time in Athens.

So who replaces him? A man from down under.

Brett Thorson, an Australian punter with lots of eligibility behind him.

Georgia has to reload a lot next season. Jersey number 90 has a lot on its proverbial shoulders.
