Jeremy Bell makes decision to join Georgia Class of 2024

National Signing Day is underway for Georgia, and the Bulldogs landed a commitment from Clinch County wide receiver Jeremy Bell.

A 6-foot-1, 175-pound three-star out of Homerville, Ga., Bell de-committed from Indiana in December, earned an offer from Georgia in January and made a trip to Athens this past weekend. He is expected to join the program as a preferred walk-on.

Bell is a multi-sport athlete for the Panthers. He also plays basketball and runs track. On the track, he won a state championship in the 400-meter dash for GHSA Class 1A-Division II with a personal best time of 50.70 seconds. He also qualified for the 300-meter hurdles and the long jump. Meanwhile, on the hardwood, Bell averaged 15.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game as a sophomore and 16.6 points and 9.3 rebounds as a junior.

On the football field, Bell as been equally impressive. He helped Clinch County reached the quarterfinals in 2022 with 31 catches for 742 yards and 10 touchdowns. Playing both ways, he added 16 tackles and an interception on defense. This past season, Bell’s time was spent primarily in the backfield as he carried the ball 119 times for 943 yards and 16 scores. Adding his contributions as a receiver (16 grabs, 414 yards and another four scores), Bell was accountable for 1,357 yards and 20 touchdowns as Clinch County went 11-2 on their way to a quarterfinals exit from the playoffs.

Bell held reported offers from Indiana, Vanderbilt, Coastal Carolina, Liberty, Middle Tennessee, Central Michigan, Northern Iowa, Wofford, Akron and Bryant prior to his senior season and commitment to the Hoosiers. He added Alcorn State, Illinois State, Mercer and Kent State before Austin Peay and Georgia came calling after the new year.

Georgia signed two receivers in the Class of 2024 in December – Nitro Tuggle and Sacovie White. Tuggle finishes the recruiting cycle ranked No. 125 in the country according to the On3 Industry Ranking while White comes in at No. 430. Both are on campus already as early enrollees and were with the team during its preparation for the Orange Bowl.

The Bulldogs also added a trio of transfer receivers from the Power Five ranks as London Humphreys (Vanderbilt), Colbie Young (Miami) and Michael Jackson III (USC) joined the group in Athens. UGA returns two of its top five pass catchers on the team including the top one in the position group. Dominic Lovett, Rara Thomas and Dillon Bell lead the way while the likes of Arian Smith, Anthony Evans, Tyler Williams and Cole Speer provide exciting potential.
