The Georgia Bulldogs finished out the week with a bang, landing commitment number six for the Class of 2025, and this time, it was defensive lineman Stephon Shivers who came aboard.

A 6-foot-4, 350 pound rising senior from Humboldt, Tennessee’s Humboldt High School, Shivers is Georgia’s second defensive line commit for the Class of 2025, joining Industry Ranked five-star Justus Terry.

“I’ve been in touch with Coach [Tray] Scott, [Assistant defensive line coach Dayton]Leblanc, and (director of recruiting) David Cooper and they have all been great vibes talked about a lot of great things,” Shivers told DawgsHQ a week prior to his announcement. “I feel great about them. We’ve been able to build a great relationship. We talk day in and day out. We talk football, and we talk school. They’ve told me I’d be an inside guy. They want me to be three years and done. Put in the work and move on to the next level.”

Shivers chose the Bulldogs over the likes of Oregon, Tennessee, LSU, and Texas.

He was clear as to what set Georgia apart leading into the commitment.

“No. 1 team in the SEC. It can’t get no better than that,” Shivers said.

Georgia, too, has been clear with Shivers since the relationship began at the end of last summer.

Tray Scott took notice of his work at a prospect camp in Athens, and it’s been off to the races since.

“He told me that there was no way he’d let me leave without an offer. He told me that it was about the way I moved as a big guy and the footwork that I have,” Shivers said last August.

Stephon Shivers plans to officially visit Athens in June and is expected to see Oregon and Vanderbilt officially as of now, as well.

Georgia currently ranks as the number three class overall in 2025, trailing LSU and Ohio State in the On3 Industry Class Ranking.

With Shivers and Terry anchoring the defensive line class, the Bulldogs also hold the commitment of four other rising seniors.

Currently, Industry Rated No. 1 tight end Elyiss Williams, four-star linebacker Jadon Perlotte, four-star tight end Ethan Barbour, and three-star running back Bo Walker all find themselves on the list, as well.

Major targets moving forward include five-star defensive lineman Elijah Griffin, five-star offensive tackle David Sanders, five-star quarterback Julian Lewis, and five-star linebacker Zayden Walker among others.
