Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake four-star wide receiver Travis Smith has taken his first step toward making his college commitment.

Smith, the No. 74 overall prospect in the 2025 On3 Rankings, announced his top eight schools. Georgia is among them. The Bulldogs join Auburn, Alabama, Colorado, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Oklahoma and Ole Miss.

The four-star has had Georgia near the top since they offered last year. On3’s Recruiting Prediction has Georgia as Smith’s leader. The Bulldogs have an 89.6 percent chance of landing the in-state four-star according to RPM.

Smith was on campus back in the first week of January for Georgia’s Junior Day. Smith came out of that visit feeling at home with Georgia.

“It feels like home over there,” Smith told DawgsHQ after the visit. “Being close to home and then you’ve got guys that make you comfortable. That’s a great thing to have.”

Smith felt like a priority at Georgia during that elite junior day.

“It means a lot to me that I was in that first junior day,” Smith said. “They made it very clear, that this was for select guys. If you’re here, they want you. The thing that stood out to me was that people know your name, it’s obvious that you’re being prioritized. Getting the chance to meet new people and understanding how much you can be a help to this program is great to know.”
