Jamin Davis is getting paid

On Thursday, Jamin Davis became the third first-round selection of the Mark Stoops era, and the linebacker is walking into an outstanding situation with the Washington Football Team. A tremendous success story, Davis could be a force at FedEx Field as a rookie playing for one of the NFL’s best defenses.
The draft result has many excited, but I promise you that no one is more hyped than Davis’ bank account. The former mid three-star recruit from South Georgia is about to have a lot of zeroes in his bank account.
Jamin Davis' contract with the #WFT should be:
▪️ 4 years, $13.8M contract
▪️ Fully guaranteed
▪️ $7.4M signing bonus
▪️ $2.5M 2021 cap hit
▪️ 5th-year option availablehttps://t.co/UzNhEo8YuP— Spotrac (@spotrac) April 30, 2021
Spotrac is the largest player contract resource on the internet, and their projections tend to be spot on. To no one’s surprise, a top-20 pick is going to get paid handsomely. Davis will get a chance to cash that $7.4 million signing bonus right away while making around $3.5 million per season is a very solid starting salary.
The draft is always a very fun time for many, but these events are life-changing for hundreds of families every year. What was a dream for many years becomes a reality on draft night, and the result is some life-changing money. Sometimes, it can be easy to forget just how big of a deal these moments are.

Davis is now a well-payed young man and becomes another former Kentucky defensive alum to move on to the NFL. However, the young prospect just made some life-altering money that could help change his family’s life for the better. It’s a great thing to see and a very nice reward for years of hard work.
Now it is time to see the linebacker grow and make plays for the Washington Football Team as he looks to get to a second and third contract so he could potentially create generational wealth.
Meanwhile, Kentucky is starting to build an LBU reputation under Mark Stoops. Davis is another professional Kentucky has put into the NFL joining former draft selections Avery Williamson, Bud Dupree, Za’Darius Smith, Josh Forrest, and Josh Allen at linebacker.
