WHAT’S UP TODAY

First up this morning in your Miami Hurricanes news?

Yesterday we broke down your offensive position by position strides made off last year’s roster … today it’s the defense’s turn. Were there strides or a step back taken at some positions? Be sure to check out that analysis.

Mario Cristobal also shares his thoughts from ACC meetings with a lot of buzz surrounding this Cane program.

There’s our analysis of the top 50 roster players as well, giving insight onto this team’s talent level and depth. Check out our closer look at No. 44, Justin Scott.

In recruiting don’t miss our 100 Yard walk feature with Miami commit Jordan Campbell.

There also was the big breaking news from last night that Jacksonville (Fla.) Duncan U. Fletcher interior offensive lineman Takaylen “TK” Muex committed … and we had an analysis of that.

Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star linebacker Gavin Nix also updates where things stand after Miami coaches visited him at school – he’s got a UM OV lined up and the Canes on his short list of top programs.

We also catch up with former Miami quarterback Jacory Harris’ younger cousin, Marietta (Ga.) Sprayberry three-star cornerback Mark Manfred. The Canes are very much in the mix with him.

Another update is with Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County four-star running back Ousmane Kromah. He has built relationships with most of the staffs heavily recruiting him, but his personal connection with Miami running backs coach Matt Merritt goes beyond the surface.

There’s also your recap off the baseball team’s series opener against Pittsburgh.

And, as always, stay tuned today for any news that may come up.

MESSAGE BOARD POST OF THE DAY

Looking ahead … Posted by 289FIA

Believe our toughest game this season is Louisville. FSU fans are concerned about their WR’s and the OL. If we get pressure on DJ he will have a rough night. Just have to keep gap integrity vs the runs. Ward and Miami’s pass catching threats (WR’s, TE’s, RB’s) should be too much for FSU to handle … IF Dawson is creative.

MIAMI HURRICANES QUOTE OF THE DAY

“This school means so much to me. My mom went here, my uncles went here, and my entire family went here, so I have way more pride when I play for this team.”
