Michigan State wrapped up its second prospect camp of the summer on Wednesday. The camp drew around 300 recruits to East Lansing and featured a wide variety of talent at different positions.

Michigan State has had a tradition of producing good linebackers like Greg Jones, Denicos Allen and the Bullough family. The Spartans’ emphasis on the position continued when they signed Jordan Hall, one of the highest-rated linebacker commits in program history, this past recruiting class.

The group of linebackers at Wednesday’s camp was strong. Listed below are a few linebackers who met with Michigan State defensive coordinator Scottie Hazelton following the camp. They are prospects with rising stocks to keep an eye on for the future.

Nathan Gersh (2026, Dexter High School)

Gersh could end up being one of the top prospects in the state by this time next year. Already 6-foot-2, 215 pounds, Gersh moves really well and likes to get after it and make plays. He has early offers from Saginaw Valley State and Central Michigan. Gersh will be high on Hazelton’s radar in the years to come. Gersh plans on making a trip to East Lansing this fall for a game day visit.

DiMari Malone (2025, Macomb Dakota High School)

Malone made his way to East Lansing on Wednesday and didn’t disappoint. The 6-foot-1, 212-pound prospect looked fluid and had great reaction time during the drills. Malone has yet to receive an offer from Michigan State, but it could be coming soon as coaches review camp film in the coming days. Malone has offers from Illinois, UMass, Morgan State and several MAC schools.

Cody Raymond (2024, Utica Eisenhower High School)

Raymond looked impressive during the drills and has pretty good length to close in and make plays in the open field. Raymond could be viewed as a potential preferred walk-on candidate for the Spartans. He has offers from Toledo, Ball State, Ferris State, Grand Valley State, Wayne State and Tiffin.
