East Lansing, Mich. – When Michigan State’s Big Ten Media Days contingent descends on Indianapolis in two weeks, head coach Mel Tucker will be joined by three senior players, two of them from the offensive side of the ball.

Wide receiver Tre Mosley, offensive guard J.D. Duplain and linebacker Cal Haladay will be the players who join Tucker for interviews at Big Ten Media Days at Lucas Oil Stadium, the Spartan football program announced via social media on Wednesday.

Mosley is a three-year letter winner with 98 career receptions, for 1,176 yards. He has started 21 games.

Mosley had 35 catches in each of the last two seasons. He had 21 catches as a true freshman in 2019, helping rescue Michigan State from a five-game losing streak in the second half of the season. The Spartans ended the year with three straight wins, including a victory over Wake Forest in the Pinstripe Bowl. Mosley had four receptions that day, in what turned out to be the final game coached by former Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio.

Mosley battled injuries in 2020, logging only seven catches in four games, but rebounded as a reliable possession receiver in 2021 and 2022.

Mosley, of Pontiac, Mich. and West Bloomfield High School, played almost exclusively as a slot receiver last year, with Jayden Reed and Keon Coleman as outside threats. Reed graduated and became Second Round pick of the Green Bay Packers in April.

Coleman transferred to Florida State in May.

With Reed and Coleman gone, Mosley will need to step up as a downfield threat and a senior leader on a young and unproven receiving corps.

On Tuesday, it was announced that Mosley nominated for the AFCA Good Works Team for his volunteer work in the community.

Mosley graduated with a degree in advertising management in December. He was Academic All-Big Ten in 2021.

Duplain, of Strongsville, Ohio, has started 35 games at left guard in the past four seasons and has earned four letters at Michigan State

He started the last five games of the 2019 season as a true freshman. He opted to return for a fifth year of eligibility in 2023.

Duplain was an honorable mention All-Big Ten selection by coaches and media last year.

In 2021, he was honorable mention All-Big Ten by media and second-team All-Big Ten by Pro Football Focus.

Duplain, a communications major, is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.

Haladay, of Elysburg, Pa., has started 23 games at linebacker. He was second-team All-Big Ten by coaches and media last year.

Haladay led the Big Ten in tackles per game in 2022 with 10.0.

In 2021, he was named Freshman All-America by the Football Writers Association of America while earning honorable mention All-Big Ten accolades.

He was named Defensive MVP of the 2021 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.

Haladay, a chemistry major, is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.
