Jeremiah Lowe is ready to make his decision.

The three-star cornerback out of Lexington (Ky.) Fredrick Douglass will announce his commitment today at 3:00 p.m. ET at a live ceremony at his high school. His decision will be posted on his personal social media channels.

Lowe, who is ranked as the No. 148 cornerback and No. 1,357 overall recruit nationally, per the On3 Industry Ranking, is down to Boston College, Kentucky, Marshall and Michigan.

Here is a closer look at where things stand.

Why It Will Be Michigan

All signs point to Michigan in this recruitment. In fact, Michigan has a 99.2 percent chance of landing Lowe going into his decision, per the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. I logged my prediction late last month and still feel extremely confident in that pick. Lowe made multiple visits to Michigan over the last year and feels extremely comfortable with the program. Michigan missed on some of its elite cornerback options this summer and are now pressing hard for Lowe. U-M co-defensive coordinator and cornerbacks coach Steve Clinkscale has built a strong relationship with Lowe and is high on his upside. He is a top priority, and Michigan is making him feel like that down the stretch.

Why It Won’t Be Michigan

Kentucky is making a bit of a late run at Lowe. It’s unclear how serious the Wildcats are here, but they’ve shown no fear when battling U-M on the recruiting trail. In fact, Kentucky already beat out Michigan for On300 cornerback Terhyon Nichols earlier this cycle and is working hard on flipping four-star U-M commits Jerod Smith and Jacob Smith. If Kentucky does go all in here, they are a dark horse, especially considering Lowe is a home state kid. Boston College is making him a priority and has impressed, while Marshall offers him the opportunity to be a big fish.

EJ’s Prediction

As mentioned, I still feel strongly about my On3 prediction in favor of Michigan. I’ve always felt like Lowe was waiting for this opportunity. Michigan pushed hard for other prospects at the cornerback position but continued to keep Lowe warm. Now that Lowe has ascended to the top of the board, it’s hard to see him passing up the opportunity to play at Michigan. U-M is a superior program, and he has a strong bond with Clinkscale, whose son was Lowe’s teammate at Fredrick Douglass. I’m sticking with Michigan going into today’s announcement.
