Michigan currently has the No. 12 overall 2024 recruiting class with seven commits, including three listed in the Top 300 nationally.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) is a first in the industry where an algorithm and machine learning-based product uses information from expert analysis, coach and player visits, social sentiment from an athlete and historical data to forecast where a high school player might attend college.

Based on the facts and figures taken from the 2024 recruiting class, Michigan currently leads for eight prospects by a wide-margin. The Wolverine take a look at each recruit and where things stand for the Big Ten Champions.

QB Jadyn Davis, Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day

RPM: Michigan (88%), Tennessee (3%), Clemson (2.1%), Georgia (1.3%)

What We Know: The obvious plan would be for Davis to return to Michigan for spring camp with his offered teammates and leave with an announced verbal commitment. That’s the best case scenrario. Worst case scenario is that the Wolverines are one step closer finally locking in their quarterback of the future. Spending time with new quarterbacks coach Kirk Campbell will be a high priority for Davis and his family after getting on the phone with head coach Jim Harbaugh for a prolonged conversation in January.

WR Channing Goodwin, Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day

RPM: Michigan (96.2%), NC State (1.2%), Virginia Tech (1.1%)

What We Know: Wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy is working to get Goodwin back at Michigan for an unofficial visit with expectations being that the legacy recruit returns this month for spring practice. Bellamy stopped by Providence Day during the January contact period to also meet with Goodwin’s teammates in Davis, Jordan Shipp, and David Sanders. Goodwin is the son of former Michigan offensive lineman and Super Bowl winner Jonathan Goodwin as the family flew to campus five times last year.

EDGE Brian Robinson, Austintown (Ohio) Fitch

RPM: Michigan (90.5%), Pitt (2.2%), Penn State (1.8%)

What We Know: Robinson was in Ann Arbor for Michigan’s Junior Day event after numerous appearances at The Big House for games this past season. The Wolverines are the school that the 6-5, 245-pounder has visited the most because of proximity, connections to the program, and his relationships with the coaching staff. Area recruiter Steve Clinkscale, outside linebackers coach Dylan Roney, defensive line coach Mike Elston and defensive coordinator Jesse Minter have all built close contact with Robinson and his father. Clinkscale and Robinson’s father go way back as they both grew up in nearby Youngstown and remain friends to this day.

OT Ben Roebuck, Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward

RPM: Michigan (90%), Michigan State (2.6%), Penn State (2.2%)

What We Know: Roebuck visited in December to watch bowl practice and later the following month for the Junior Day event. Offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore and Steve Clinkscale are issuing regular contact to the mammoth anchor and his two St. Edward teammates in Devontae Armstrong and Deontae Armstrong. 2024 Michigan interior offensive lineman commit Luke Hamilton lives less than 30 minutes away from Roebuck and is making conscious efforts to have them pair up at Michigan.

WR I’Marion Stewart, Bolingbrook (Ill.) High

RPM: Michigan (93.6%), Illinois (2.1%), Tennessee (1.2%)

What We Know: Ron Bellamy and Sherrone Moore continue to check up on Stewart and his family often with the four-star wideout lasted being hosted on campus in January. The native of suburban Chicago saw more than one home game at The Big House this past season where he reunited with his former Midwest BOOM 7v7 teammates in Tyler Morris and JJ McCarthy. Stewart also attends the same high school that graduated Tyler McLaurin. Michigan is expected to receive an official visit from Stewart, who’s eying Tennessee, Wisconsin and Oregon as well.

TE Brady Prieskorn, Rochester (Mich.) Adams

RPM: Michigan (92%), Michigan State (2.7%), Penn State (1.7%)

What We Know: Prieskorn hasn’t visited Michigan since late-October for the Michigan State game but he also hasn’t visited any other school since basketball season started. However, tight ends coach Grant Newsome made multiple trips to the Metro Detroit high school to see Prieskorn play on the hardwood. Newsome has made it clear of Prieskorn’s positioning as the top tight end target on Michigan’s board with the latter planning on a return this month to watch spring practice.

OL Blake Frazier, Austin (Tex.) Vandegrift

RPM: Michigan (93.3%), Texas (1.3%), Texas A&M (1.2%)

What We Know: Frazier is a Michigan legacy with his father, Steve Frazier, who was part of the 1997 national title team. The family made a trip to Ann Arbor in late-September to watch the Maryland game from the sidelines and behind the Michigan bench. Communication with Sherrone Moore takes place every week with Frazier set to return on March 17th-20th for spring camp. Frazier will be at Oregon earlier that week and will also be at LSU this weekend.

LB Aaron Chiles, Onley (Md.) Good Counsel

RPM: Michigan (87.3%), Florida (4.9%), Penn State (3.2%)

What We Know: Chiles has scheduled an official visit to Florida in late-spring but he has told The Wolverine that Michigan is the favorite heading into spring camp. He was on campus in January for Junior Days and is looking to come back as early as this weekend. This next excursion will give Chiles extended time to surround himself with new linebackers coach Chris Partridge, who reached out to the four-star shortly after coming onboard, along with catching up with fellow Good Counsel star Kris Jenkins.
